ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Urchfont Scarecrow Festival is the one of the biggest, annual scarecrow events in the United Kingdom and has many benefits, including building community spirit and goodwill, and raising funds for local good causes, including Wiltshire Air Ambulance,
Last year was the most successful year yet with an increase in the number of people attending Festival and taking part in the activities. It is estimated that between 14,000 – 17,000 people from in and around Wiltshire and beyond enjoyed the three days of entertainment in 2024.
In 2025, we are celebrating our twenty-sixth festival with a range of enhanced activities. We are actively seeking corporate sponsors to support this special event as we strive to deliver yet another amazing festival while continuing our charitable funding.
FUNDING
Our budget to run this year’s festival is around £45,000 and we really need the support of local organisations, companies and individuals to meet our target and make sure we have a great event in our village.
Urchfont Festival is organised by the community for the community. We operate as a charity and have a small committee of dedicated trustees and volunteers who plan, organise and make festival happen each year, none of whom are paid. The Festival is a standalone event, it is not a council-run or funded event, which is why your support is really needed and appreciated.
Supporting Urchfont Scarecrow Festival provides a great opportunity for your business to reach a large local audience, not only onsite at the Festival but also through our extensive online presence – our website has around 40,000 page visits per year, 15,000 of those over the festival weekend, and we have around 3,400 followers on Facebook.
