WE'RE on the hunt for some delicious home baking and helpful hands.
Join the sweetest team at the Scarecrow Festival. Bring your homemade cakes and biscuits to the Tea Tent by the pond. We'd be delighted to receive your delicious donations at any time over the festival weekend.
And if you're not exactly a baking maestro you can still get in on the action by helping us serve up some sweet delights and refreshing brews to our festival-goers. Your presence will be the icing on the cake.
TEA TENT BEST SELLERS
If you're pondering what to whip up for the Tea Tent, we've previously tasted success with chocolate, carrot, coffee, and Victoria sponge cakes.
Of course, we're also keen to taste what you can bring to the serving table. Whether it's your legendary brownies, flapjacks, fruit cake, or a tangy lemon drizzle – our guests are always blown away by the variety of sweet treats.
And for those of you who are the epitome of efficiency, you might even fancy the idea of baking early and freezing your cake.

DON'T SLICE YOUR CAKESList Item 1
Please do not pre-cut your cake, tray bake, brownies, flapjacks etc - we need to make sure the portion sizes match our set prices.

KEEP DECORATION TO A MINIMUMList Item 3
If you are decorating the top of your cake, please remember that we need to cut it and some toppings (although look amazing) make this tricky.

LABEL YOUR CONTAINERSList Item 4
Please make sure all trays or tins are clearly labelled with a name and telephone number. We ask that you collect your containers by the end of the festival.
BAKING FOR SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS.
We offer a variety of cakes to cater to guests with special dietary requirements, including those who are gluten-free, have allergies, or are vegan. If you are interested in contributing baked goods for this purpose, kindly submit a filled out Food Intolerance Form along with your cakes.
VOLUNTEER AT THE TEA TENT
We extend a warm invitation to all volunteers. It's an enjoyable opportunity to connect with new friends from Urchfont Parish, and it's a fulfilling experience.
Whether you can spare a few hours or commit to the entire festival, your involvement carries considerable weight. Every bit of help is invaluable and deeply appreciated.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
- Contact the rota team.
- They will get back to you to organise your schedules volunteer times.
- Please turn up at the tea tent (beside the village pond) ten minutes before your arranged shift and introduce yourself to the Tea Tent manager who will explain what to do.
- Enjoy being part of the festival.
